How to save with your Petwise Club Card

Every time you make a purchase or use a service at your Petwise Store, you generate one point for every dollar you spend. Each point is worth a minimum of one percent of the purchase value, and the points are credited to you wen you produce your membership card at the checkout. If you do not have your card with you at the time of purchase, just provide the cashier with ID and the points will be credited your account. Your points can then either accumulate for up to six months, or can be redeemed as a discount when you make your next purchase at your Petwise Store within the sixth month time frame. Bonus points will be provided on selected promotions from time to time. These promotions will be highlighted in our newsletters.

Looking after your Petwise Club Card

Your membership card is registered in your name and cannot be transferred to any other person, so make sure you always keep it in a safe place. If you should lose or damage your card, please advise us promptly, and we will have your data transferred to a new card.

Changes to your details

Please be sure to advise us if any of your details change, so we can adjust your records accordingly.

Redemption of points

Based on your purchases, your Petwise Club membership account will accumulate a credit expressed in dollar value. This credit is only redeemable only on goods or services available at your Petwise Store.

Your points will expire after a sixth month period, if you have not elected to return to the store and accept the offered credit.

When you present your card at the time of making your purchase, the staff member will scan your card, which will ten show your account details on screen. If you have existing points available for redemption, the staff member will apply a credit to your current purchase, thus reducing the purchase price of your item. The balance of your payment will then accumulate more points for future redemption.

Statement of points

Every 2 months you will receive a Petwise Store newsletter, with editorial, new product reviews and specials. Attached to your newsletter will be a statement of account, which will show the number of points you have earned and accumulated in the preceding months. The statement will also show the aging of points, thereby notifying you of the points that need to be redeemed before they expire. Remember, your points are only valid for a period of six months.

Petwise Club Terms and Conditions

1. In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:

“Petwise Club Member” means a person who is enrolled in the Awards Program.

“Petwise Club Card” means a card issued by Petwise Store to a Petwise Club Member, at the Petwise Club Member's request, for use in the Awards Program.

“Awards Program” means the scheme called the Petwise Club pursuant to which certain points are offered or made available to a Petwise Club Member from time to time as a result of the purchase of products or services from Petwise Stores.

2. These Terms and Conditions may be changed, amended or varied at any time by Petwise Store in its absolute discretion without giving a reason and without notice.

3. Without prejudice to any other mode of proof, by signature on the Awards Program enrolment form, a Petwise Club Member accepts these Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time and agrees to be bound by them. Membership in the Awards Program is subject to these Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time.

Any failure by a Petwise Club Member to adhere to these Terms and Conditions may result in termination of a Petwise Club Member's membership in the Awards Program and cancellation of accrued points.

4. Membership in the Awards Program is offered at the discretion of Petwise Store and Petwise Store has the right to accept or reject any application for membership.

5. Petwise Store will use its reasonable endeavours to transmit statements, notices and other material relevant to a Petwise Club Member to advise him or her of various matters of interest including changes to the Awards Program, but Petwise Store will not be liable for failure to do so. Petwise Store will not be responsible for correspondence lost or delayed in the mail. Any statement or notice will be deemed to have been given by Petwise Store if posted to the mailing address last notified by a Petwise Club Member to Petwise Store. Each Petwise Club Member is responsible for advising Petwise Store of any change of address. Notwithstanding the above, Petwise Store may inform, advise and notify Petwise Club Members by any form of communication.

6. Petwise Store may terminate the Awards Program at any time. In the event of termination of the Awards Program, or the cancellation of a Petwise Club Member's Card or cancellation of membership in the Awards Program, Petwise Store will notify a Petwise Club Member of such termination or cancellation. All accrued points must be redeemed within three (3) months of the date of termination or cancellation, whichever is the sooner. In the event of termination or cancellation of a Petwise Club Member's Card by the Petwise Club Member, all accrued points must be redeemed within three (3) months of termination or cancellation or they will be forfeited.

7. Petwise Store will not be liable for any disruption to the Awards Program or any delay to or inability to provide any of the points caused by circumstances beyond the control of Petwise Store, including but not limited to strikes or industrial disputes, acts of God, flood, weather, aircraft unserviceability or unavailability, war or civil disturbance.

8. A copy of the current Petwise Club Membership Terms and Conditions (including our Privacy Policy) can be obtained from any Petwise Store.

9. Only natural persons can apply for a Petwise Club Card. Petwise Club Cards cannot be held jointly. Member's participation in the Awards Program will be resolved by Petwise Store in its sole discretion.

10. A person wishing to apply for a Petwise Club Card must complete and sign the application form and hand it in to any Petwise Store.

11. A Petwise Club Member may only hold one Petwise Club Card.

Earning and Redeeming Points

12. A Petwise Club Member will be awarded one point for every dollar spent at a Petwise Store. Points will be rounded to the nearest full dollar spent, subject to a valid Petwise Club Card being presented at the time of purchase.

13. Points can only be collected at a Petwise Store. Points are non-transferable and have no cash or monetary value.

14. Each point earned by the Petwise Club Member expires six (6) months after being awarded. The Petwise Club Member must redeem any accrued points within this time period, failing which, the points will expire.

15. At the time of purchase, a Petwise Club Member may use their points to reduce the cost price of that purchase, or accumulate the points for use with further purchases, within a six (6) month period.

16. Each point then has a reduction or redemption value of $0.01 on the purchase price of the next product or service from Petwise Store.

17. Petwise Club points are not transferable, and are not redeemable for currency.

18. When a Petwise Club Member obtains a refund or reimbursement for charges previously incurred (for example, for returned goods or services), the points previously accrued for that purchase will be cancelled.

19. Redemption of points must be claimed by the Petwise Club Member personally.

20. Points may only be redeemed by production of the Petwise Club Card.

21. Points redeemed will be deducted from the Petwise Club Member's points account and the adjustment will be reflected in the next points statement.

22. Points redeemed will be deducted from the Petwise Club Member's account at the time of redemption.

23. Petwise Store is not responsible for stolen or lost Petwise Club Cards, or unredeemed points.

24. All Petwise Club Membership Cards remain the property of Petwise Store.

25. Employees of Petwise Store, their suppliers and agents are precluded from holding Petwise Club Membership.

26. Petwise Store is not responsible for errors resulting from computer hardware or software errors or failure, nor for fraud.

27. Any questions regarding the Petwise Club or the Awards Program should be referred to the management of Petwise Store.

Dispute Resolution

28. Any alleged discrepancy in relation to a points statement must be notified in writing by a Petwise Club Member to Petwise Store within three (3) months of the issue of the points statement, together with a legible copy of any relevant record of purchase and a copy of the points statement in question. Petwise Store will investigate such discrepancies but reserves the right to be the final arbiter in the event of any dispute. In case of dispute, the decision of Petwise Store shall be final and binding. Petwise Store further reserves the right to adjust the points statement retrospectively in the event of incorrect entries to the points statement whether due to Petwise Store's error or otherwise.

29. All questions or disputes regarding the eligibility for the Awards Program or the eligibility of points for accrual or redemption, or any other dispute which arises in connection with a Petwise Club Member's participation in the Awards Program will be resolved by Petwise Store in its sole discretion.
